Pakistan pacer jumps up six places to push Imran Tahir down to second

Pakistan right-arm pacer Hasan Ali on Friday jumped six places to become the number one bowler in International Cricket Council’s ODI rankings.

The 23-year-old, the highest wicket-taker in the 2017 Champions Trophy, has 743 points as compared to South African spinner Imran Tahir, who has 726.

He recently starred with a five-for against Sri Lanka to help Pakistan gain an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.

Australian right-arm pacer Josh Hazlewood, South African fast-bowler Kagiso Rabada and Australia left-arm quickie Mitchell Starc occupy the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

De Villiers tops batsmen's rankings

South African right-handed batsman AB de Villiers jumped up two places to become the number one batsman in ICC batsmen's rankings.

De Villiers pushed Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Australian opener David Warner down one place each with 879 points, courtesy a 176-run innings against Bangladesh in the second ODI.

Meanwhile, Pakistan right-handed batsman Babar Azam also attained career-best rankings as he jumped up two places to the number four position with 833 points.

Hafeez resurges as best all-rounder

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, one day after being reported for a suspect action for a third time, pushed Bangladesh all-rounder Shakibal Hasan down to attain the top position.

Hafeez, with 360 points, jumped up one place to replace Shakib (345 points) on the top of the all-rounder's rankings.
