KARACHI: Earlier in 2017, the Sindh High Court placed a moratorium on registering sale deed, lease or sub-lease for residential or housing units and projects, unless the completed construction plan is provided by the builder. However, now the sale deeds or sub-lease for decades-old housing units is not being processed either, by the departments concerned. For many, selling their properties, the matter is in limbo with no satisfactory reason given by the authorities. The issue is pending for months and is quite problematic for people planning to sell or buy properties.
