Tickets for Lahore’s Pakistan-SL T20I flying off the shelves

Rs1,500 passes sold out within hours of being made available online

LAHORE: Tickets for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20I, scheduled to take place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium later this month, are flying off the shelves.

As fan frenzy builds up for the October 27 encounter — which will see the Islanders visit Pakistan for the first time after the infamous terrorist attack of 2009 — online tickets for the said match are selling out fast.

Per The Daily Express, the Rs1,500 tickets went on sale online last night and were sold out by noon today.

The Rs3,000 and Rs5,000 tickets are still up for grabs but, considering the enthusiasm of cricket fans, it may not remain that way for too long.

Meanwhile, the Rs500 ticket, historically the most popular one of the lot, will go on sale from October 20 and could be purchased from banks and selected courier company offices.

Due to public demand, the prices for the fixture have been reduced markedly as compared to what they were for World XI's recent visit.

For instance, the Rs5,000 ticket was previously sold for Rs8,000. Similarly, the Rs6,000 tickets for Imran Khan and Fazal Mahmood enclosures can now be bought for just Rs3,000.
