ISLAMABAD:
CDA has decided to re-advertise its much-awaited projects of Rapid Bus Public Service and Tourism Bus Service.
A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Member Environment Abdul Waheed to finalise the formalities. CDA Spokesperson Ramzan Sajid said that a final decision was expected on the subject this week.
A committee of Public Account Committee (PAC) directed CDA to expedite work to materialise the “dream of a smooth and efficient system of public transport in the capital”.
The committee Chairperson Riaz Pirzada directed CDA Chairperson Imtiaz Inayat Elahi and principal accounting officer to personally look into the matter. Elahi said CDA had already prepared a plan for the project.
Two companies, he said, had shown interest. A fresh tender in this regard would be floated within the next few days to meet the legal requirements.
