The police must crack down on anti-social elements without any further delay
KARACHI: While another girl in Karachi’s Federal B area survived a knife attack on October 16th, just two days ago, the police authorities masked their incompetence with the claim they have arrested the prime suspect of the attacks, in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab, three days ago. Even if one assumes that the arrested suspect is the Karachi slasher, the Oct 16th attack is an indication that the real culprit hasn’t been caught yet. Moreover, as incidents of similar sort have been reported in regions of Punjab too, the police must crack down on anti-social elements without any further delay to protect women against such targeted attacks.
