While Indian army makes tall claims of being superior than the Pakistan Army, stark reality is that it does not even have coffins to transport its fallen soldiers.

Last Friday, an army helicopter crashed in the Indian state of Arunanchal Pradesh bordering China, killing all seven officials on board. Even though rescue teams were able to pull out the bodies, transporting them back to the army base became a problem.

Because of the non-availability of coffins to carry the bodies back respectfully, the deceased were placed in cardboard boxes and shifted to the base.

Officials of Indian army were upset over the incident and took to social media to complain that people who dedicate their lives to the country do not get any respect when they die.

The disturbing images of the deceased soldiers caused widespread outrage after they surfaced online a few days ago. The images were widely circulated on social media and highlighted the fact that Indian army and the air force lacked basic equipment to ferry home their dead comrades in a dignified manner.

Earlier this year, in a video, Indian soldier Tej Bahadur alleged that poor quality food was being served to soldiers and that officers were involved in corruption. He was later sacked.
