Launching a clothing line seems to be Bollywood's newest trend and Jab Harry Met Sejal star Anushka Sharma also jumped on the bandwagon recently when she launched her own clothing brand NUSH.

Her Autumn/Winter 2017 collection has 160 pieces to start with, available across online stores and major retail outlets in India.

"It is a really special day for me.. this is something I had been planning for the past year and a half and quite honestly, as I stand here in front of everyone, I am excited but at the same time, I am extremely nervous," the actor expressed at the launch event.

The Jab Harry met Sejal star went on to speak about previous work, “My nature is such, that if I’m choosing to do something, I become completely involved. I’ve always done something that I love, whether it’s acting, making films with my production Clean Slate Films or wearing nice clothes. So, I present my second venture, which is something very special to me – a clothing line named NUSH.

I receive a lot of love from Pakistan: Anushka Sharma

She continued, "With clothing, I not only had to do something that I really believed in but also keep in mind that each one of us is unique and have our own dressing styles that suit us."

"As a young girl, shopping for clothes that suited my sense of fashion under one roof was a struggle. I would end up going to different stores to put together the right casual ensemble. With NUSH, we endeavour to bring fashionable and beautiful clothes that you can wear to work, to college, to an evening do or even just to hang out casually, all under one label. I have personally taken interest in the styles of NUSH, so there’s a bit of myself in all the outfits. NUSH is for every woman who is her own stylist," the star added.

I have been facing rejection from the age of 15: Anushka Sharma

However, that being said, we were't too impressed with the collection. To us, it's a collection that is, put simply, confused. While we are fans of Anushka's personal style, NUSH did not seem to be a reflection of it.

After the release of the promotional pictures, a fan has alleged that Anushka has copied the designs from various Chinese wholesale brands, reports PINKVILLA.

Upon doing further research, it was quite apparent that her designs weren't just inspired by these Chinese designs, they were exactly the same, if not similar.

If this turns out to be true, it will definitely be a real disappointment to Anushka's fans and customers.  "Several discrepancies have come to light over the last two days we are in the process of getting to the bottom of this and we will not stop at taking the most stringent action required to resolve the situation. Once we have complete clarity will share more details," said Anushka's spokesperson.
