ISLAMABAD: The residents of Sector I-10 are expected to heave a sigh of relief as their longstanding grievance regarding scarcity of potable water was likely to be addressed shortly.

"We are very much cognisant of the problems of the resident Sector I-10 and are going to address them soon. A tender for connecting Sector I-10 with main water supply line will be publicised in a couple of days,” Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz said.

He said that Rs3 million have been allocated for connecting supply lines and cleaning smaller pipelines. Main reason of water shortage in Islamabad was difference between supply and demand, the mayor said, adding, the authority was working to resolve issue very soon.
