NA-4 by-election: Candidates to submit nomination papers from today
On a question about the Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) decision to contest the election, Farman said that every political party has the right to contest in elections. He added that the JI’s decision to field a candidate would not impact the K-P government.
The minister said there are two types of people in politics, one who want a transparent system for the country and raise voice of the poor people, while the second are those who enter politics to protect their own interest and want a monarchy. He said that PTI is a party of the common man and seeks a transparent form of government.
Farman welcomed newcomers into the PTI fold and assured them that they will never feel disappointed and will be allowed to play their active role in party activities.
Peshawar by-poll: PTI in for a rough ride as JUI-F and PML-N join hands
Hikmat Khan Khalil said that he and his supporters were leaving the PML-N due to the unjust system.
The former PML-N leader also shared that for the last 26 years he had worked on every responsible post for the PML-N but the party violated the rules by appointing Amir Muqam as the acting provincial president.
Khalil said that Muqam wanted to implement Pervez Musharraf’s policies in PML-N which was unacceptable for them. He said his team would fully support PTI candidate Arbab Aamir Ayub in the NA-4 by-election.
