‘Sindh governor praised economy’

He said comments about Dar published yesterday were never disccused

In response to a story titled ‘Dar misled Nawaz Sharif on economic issues’ published in The Express Tribune, the spokesman to Sindh governor said that at no stage during the interaction with commerce reporters on Wednesday the governor suggested that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar misled then prime minister Nawaz Sharif on the overall economic situation.



He said that this was never discussed and only on the point of tax refunds, the governor pointed out that generally the business community was unhappy with the tax refund situation, which he brought to the notice of the prime minister. He added that the governor has in fact praised the economic performance of the present government and especially the finance ministry under Dar.
