Sakhi Sarwar attack: TTP leader handed over to police

LAHORE: Mastermind behind the Sakhi Sarwar shrine attack and a key Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) leader, Bahram Khan, has been handed over to police on Monday on a 10-day physical remand.

Intelligence agencies arrested Khan in Bajaur agency after which he was taken to an anti-terrorism court in D G Khan.

Sources say Khan confessed that he had arrived in DG Khan in December where he was involved in planning the attack on the Sakhi Sarwar shrine.

He added that three DG Khan locals named Ayaz Punjabi, Ahmed Baloch and Zar Ali aided him in planning the attack.

He also confirmed that he was provided with suicide jackets for the attack by locals.
