DiCaprio and Scorsese last worked together in 2013's critically acclaimed The Wolf of Wall Street. They have earlier teamed up in movies Gangs of New York, The Aviator, Shutter Island and The Departed.

The duo will next be seen in two more real life based films. One is called The Devil in the White City about a serial killer who lured his victims into his elaborately constructed Murder Castle.

The other is Killers of the Flower Moon that depicts the birth of the FBI. It focuses on a series of murders of the members of the Osage tribe after oil was discovered beneath their land. The case became one of the FBI's first major homicide investigations.

DiCaprio was last seen on the big screen in The Revenant that earned him his first ever Oscar win after multiple nominations in the past.
