Priyanka Chopra scores 8th position on Forbes highest paid TV actresses' list

Bollywood's desi girl Priyanka Chopra has ranked 8th in Forbes list of highest paid TV actresses', with earnings worth $10 million, reported Hindustan Times. Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has topped the list for the sixth consecutive year with earnings of over $41.5 million.



Chopra appeared on the list for the first time in 2016, owing to her remuneration for the ABC show Quantico. The actor starred in the second season of the show and the Hollywood film Baywatch this year, alongside renowned actor Dwayne Johnson.

The Bollywood star also endorses a range of products and Forbes called it Chopra’s “most consistent money-maker”. This has been dubbed as the reason her earnings are over $15 million ahead of the number two on the list, Big Bang Theory star, Kaley Cuoco, who made $26 million between 2016 and 2017.

“Combined, the world’s 10 highest-paid TV actresses made $156.5 million between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017,” the report states.



Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and Mindy Project star Mindy Kaling, tied at third place with $13 million. Chopra, and her previously reported $10 million haul, was enough to score a number eight spot on the list. It also rendered her as the seventh highest-paid Bollywood star between 2016 and 2017.

The top 10 is rounded off by House of Cards star Robin Wright ($9 million) and Pauley Perette ($8.5 million).
