This was said by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Industries Ahmad Hussain Shah during the K-P Assembly session on Friday.
He noted that a team of the Sarhad Development Authority had already visited the district for preparation of a feasibility report.
In the next phase, he added, the team will contact elected public representatives from the district for consultations.
He said that the federal government has abolished the conditionality of the issuance no objection certificate (NOC) for the establishment of industries.
However, he said, the establishment of units related to printing of currency notes, explosives, arms, ammunition and alcohol still need to obtain an NOC from the federal government.
