Motorway police arrests 68 suspects

One stolen car, 1,000 kilogrammes of rotten meat, and 409 litres of alcohol were also recovered

LAHORE: Punjab Highway Patrol claimed to have rescued one kidnapped person besides arresting 68 suspects including 11 proclaimed offenders.

Spokesperson for Highway Patrol said one stolen car, 1,000 kilogrammes of rotten meat, 409 litres of alcohol was also recovered and 3,952 commuters were rendered help in last one week. Highway Patrol rescued a man named Abdul Rasheed in injured condition. Moreover, 39 suspects were arrested and 409 litres of liquor was recovered from their possession.



Highway Patrol also recovered 5.65 kilogrammes of hashish from suspects. Illegal weapons including 11 pistols, two rifles, 13 cartages, two pump-action guns and 43 bullets were recovered during routine checking. Moreover, Punjab Highway Patrol team arrested five court absconders named Taaj Muhammad, Mehmood Ul Hassan, Imran Masih, Naqash Masih, Ghulam Mujtaba.
