KARACHI: The Ministry of Commerce and Textile is seeking concrete and comprehensive proposals from representatives of all textile associations, especially the value-adding, for strengthening textile industry and boosting its exports. At an interactive session with exporters, State Minister for Commerce and Textile Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari assured that he would soon arrange a detailed meeting of textile industry representatives with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for resolving their problems and making better policies for the industry.

Also speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala and Muhammad Jawed Bilwani maintained that the exports increased by 13% in the last couple of months owing to the duty drawback incentive, which should continue to be given beyond June this year.
