Crackdown: Drive against illegal number plates launched

Over 12 teams of E&T department headed by Excise and Taxation Officers concerned conducted operations

SARGODHA: In a drive against defaulter vehicles and illegal number plates, the Excise and Taxation (E&T) department impounded 143 vehicles from various parts of the district on Saturday.

An E&T spokesman said the departments teams checked 400 vehicles and impounded 143 unregistered and bearing illegal number plates vehicles while 500 defaulters in token taxes vehicles were given warnings.

Over 12 teams of E&T department headed by Excise and Taxation Officers concerned conducted operations at various points of their areas.
