Hoarding: DC Multan takes notice of hike in tomato prices

MULTAN: Multan Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chatha has sought a report from assistant director agriculture on high prices of tomatoes. The DC has taken notice of the high prices of tomatoes and directed the officials concerned to take measures to stabilise prices of the vegetables.

Assistant Director Agriculture Asif Raza visited vegetable market and monitored the bidding of tomatoes in the market. He urged traders to increase supply of tomatoes to avoid further shortage and bring down the prices.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Agriculture Department is all set to organise a seminar to spread awareness among farmers on cultivation of canola crop, at Vehari on September 25.
