He emphasised on interventions to improve the quality of examination system.
He was delivering a lecture on his research "Quality and standardisation: A twin-dilemma of public examinations at higher secondary school level in Pakistan.” The lecture was part of the Social Sector Research Seminar Series under the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform.
He share about the triangular phenomenon of curriculum, pedagogy and examination system.
Exam system has wash back effect on the whole educational system, he said.
He said the teachers push students for passing exams with high grades so that they both get good name. However, only running after grades deprives students of actually acquiring any knowledge.
