Banning websites (VII)

KARACHI: May I ask that why couldn’t the government have obtained a stay order from the Supreme Court after the LHC’s ruling?

It seems that the government agreed to ban the whole of Facebook merely because it didn’t want to antagonise the extremist elements in Pakistan. This act of the government has done great damage to the Muslim community in general and Pakistan in particular because it shows our intolerance and parochial approach. Why are we playing into the hands of those who out there to defame our culture and prove to the world that whatever is being said about us is true?
