ISLAMABAD: The Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), an attached department of Ministry of Overseas Pakistan and Human Resource Development has established 60-bed Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Burns and Trauma Center (BTC) in Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar at a cost of Rs711 million.

WWF Deputy Director Rana Muhammad Arsalan said Thursday that the BTC had capacity of 40 beds for Trauma cases while 20 beds were for burn patients and having no reconstructive surgery unit adding this Trauma Centre would be remain affiliated with Hayatabad Medical Complex and the land was provided by the provincial government.

He said that another BTC would be established at Bolan Hospital Balochistan which would be consisted 30 beds including 10 beds for burn and 20 beds for trauma.

Arsalan said that as per MoU the provincial health department shall take over the building along with equipment on completion of the project and all there treatment and surgery cost shall be borne by the provincial government.
