KARACHI: The Sindh police's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Thursday to have arrested a target killer affiliated with a political party who was allegedly re-organising his gang to carry out terror activities in Muharram.

The suspect, identified as Muhammad Naeem alias Muhajir, was arrested by the CTD investigation wing during a raid conducted on a tip-off in Korangi No 1 ½, said SSP Naveed Khawaja.

According to SSP Khawaja, the CTD was informed that the suspect was re-organising his militant group, which had become dysfunctional due to the ongoing targeted operation in the city, to attack his political opponents during Muharram.
