Germany has assured Pakistan of its continued support in the ongoing war against terrorism, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

The development came during a meeting between German Ambassador Martin Kobler with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the envoy while lauding Islamabad's efforts assured the army chief of Berlin's continued support in the battle against militants.

Islamabad, Kabul satisfied with 'gradual improvement' in ties

Issues of mutual interest including the existing security situation were also came under discussion.

A day earlier, Afghan Ambassador Omar Zakhilwal also met Gen Qamar where satisfaction was expressed over the ‘gradual improvement in bilateral cooperation’ between the two neighbouring countries.
