Accused managed to escape from the spot

SIALKOT: Two wildlife department officials were shot dead by poachers near Gulistan Colony in the limits of Daska City police station on Wednesday.

The police said Umer was hunting at Jamshed Road when two employees of wildlife department Inspector Manzoor Ahmed and Constable Mushtaq Bhatti intercepted him and stopped him from hunting. At this, Umer got enraged and opened indiscriminate fire on the officials.

As a result, both were killed on the spot. The accused managed to escape from the spot. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
