Computerised balloting was held at auditorium of Cow Research Centre on Friday for giving 85 laser land levelers to farmers at subsidised rates under the Punjab CM’s Kisan Dost Policy.
Farmers borrow at 'much higher rates than industrialists'
On the occasion, Water Management Deputy Director Farhana Jamil said that the government gave subsidy of Rs225,000 on every land leveler. As per quota, 39 land levelers were given to the applicants of Jhang, eight to Athara Hazari, 21 to farmers of Shorkot and 17 to farmers of Ahmedpur Sial.
