Rawalpindi corps commader visits LoC in wake of Indian ceasefire violations

Two civilians were killed along LoC and Working Boundary on Tuesday

Two days after Indian troops targetted innocent civilians along the Line of Control (LoC), Rawalpindi corps commander Lt Gen Nadeem Raza visited the affected area, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

“Troops along the LoC shall continue to give befitting response to Indian brutality against innocent citizens,” the corps commander was quoted as saying.



On Thursday, Indian Deputy High Commissioner J P Singh was summoned to the Foreign Office over the latest ceasefire violation.

In 2017 to date, Indian forces have carried out more than 700 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the Shahadats of 32 innocent civilians and injuries to 116, as compared to 382 ceasefire violations in 2016.
