High Court Mosque: Chief justice lays foundation stone

LAHORE: Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry along with some other judges on Friday laid the foundation stone of the mosque being reconstructed at the LHC. The mosque is being built in place of the old mosque.

The mosque is being constructed at a cost of Rs16 million. The two-storey building, with capacity of 700 people, will be completed by March 2011.

The government has allocated Rs6 million from the current fiscal year to be spent on the work, and the remaining Rs10 million the next fiscal year. Zahid Raja is the architect of the mosque.
