Cricket comes home

LAHORE: The efforts the Pakistani government and the cricket board have made for the revival of international cricket in Pakistan are indeed commendable. It is after an eight-year hiatus that Pakistan will be hosting international players in the country for three T-20 matches.

With the success of completion of the World XI tour, Pakistan is likely to host more teams for upcoming seasons. Pakistan’s image as a peaceful and safe country to visit will also attract international tourists alongside cricketers and generate economic benefits in the longer run. It is great to see cricket enthusiasts, media and the international cricket bodies filled with excitement and enthusiasm for cricket in Pakistan once again.
