After World XI, many more teams to visit ‘peaceful Pakistan’, says Shehbaz
Says best security arrangements have been made for the players as well as the spectators in the provincial capital

Arrival of foreign players in Pakistan is a good omen for sports as it will help revive international sports activities in the country, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday.
History will remember September 12, 2017, as the day when some of the biggest names in the cricketing world visited Lahore to help the return of international cricket to Pakistan.
The seeds of a World XI visit were sown when Zimbabwe toured the country in 2015, the idea was then nurtured courtesy Pakistan Super League second edition’s final in Lahore, and now it is time that we enjoy the fruit of all those endeavours.
Shehbaz hoped that many more international teams would visit Pakistan, conveying to the comity of nations that it is a peaceful country.

Punjab government, he added, has made the best possible arrangements for the matches between World XI and Pakistan XI teams participating in the event.
Shehbaz expressed optimism that the international cricketers would depart with good memories, and spectators would enjoy the matches.
