The Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMEA) North Zone has announced the launch of an energy-saving project in the knitwear sector.
A PHMEA spokesperson told the media on Friday that the association was representing over 1,200 manufacturers of knitwear garments in various parts of Punjab as well as Karachi.
He said the association members, who had access to manufacturing facilities such as garment stitching, knitting, embroidery and dyeing, could save a reasonable amount of electricity by adopting latest saving techniques.
