President Azad Jammu Kashmir President Masood Khan on Monday took a strong exception of problems students were facing at the Poonch Medical College.

A delegation of fourth year medical students from Poonch Medical College, Rawalakot called on Masood at President Secretariat in Islamabad.

The students discussed their concerns on various administrative and academic issues relating to the medical college and the recent delay in the announcement of their results.

The students informed that due to various reasons they have been actively pursuing the AJK University VC and the college administration; foremost of which was the delay of results for the past six months.

The president personally took keen interest in their issues and took Principal Poonch Medical College Dr Ziaur Rehman University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Vice Chancellor Dr Kaleem Abbasi on board to amicably resolve the concerns of the medical students.

The principal informed the president of the announcement of third year results. In the near future, all medical colleges will conduct their examinations under single medical university which will lead to a systematic and unbiased evaluation of medical students.

Masood urged the students to approach the matter concerned in an orderly manner within the rules and regulations in order to address their issues without hampering their professional and academic responsibilities.
