DIAMER:
Pakistan Gemstone and Minerals Association Gilgit-Baltistan Chairman Muhammad Akbar has urged the government to pay more attention to the gemstone business, as the sector can contribute a great deal to the national exchequer.
Akbar said on Friday that the sector, if dealt with properly, could bring a financial revolution in the region.
He said in countries like Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore taxes were not imposed on the trade of gemstones, while free training to traders was provided.
