Huge cache of weapons seized during raids in K-P, Balochistan: ISPR

Military conducted intelligence-based operations at terrorists' hideouts in various areas

Security forces conducted, on Saturday, several search raids under Operation Raddul Fasaad in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Balochistan, seizing huge amounts of arms and ammunition.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army conducted search operations in K-P’s Autto Khel, Mohmand Agency areas and in Batan village of Upper Dir. The military discovered heavy weaponry including machine guns, mortars, rocket launchers, grenades, explosives and communication equipment stored in terrorists’ hideouts.

In other intelligence-based operations carried out in Balochistan, mortar and rocket ammunitions were seized from terrorists’ havens based in Tadri, Kohlu areas.

‘Operation Raddul Fasaad’ was launched across the country in February this year in response to the continuing terror wave.

“Operation aims at indiscriminately eliminate residual/latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring security of the borders,” the military has said while starting the operation.

According to ISPR, the air force, navy, civil armed forces and other security and law enforcement agencies will jointly participate in efforts to eliminate terror from the country.
