Three wise men

Letter April 16, 2011
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly.

ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your report of April 15 titled “ZA Bhutto reference: President has not asked a specific question, says CJ”.

Would any wise person contradict the following saying  by Plato: “Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly. While bad people find ways around the laws.”

And then there is Allama Iqbal who said that nations are born in the hearts of poets and that they prosper and die in the hands of politicians. Perhaps what these wise individuals have said in history applies to the government’s reopening of the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case.
