The federal government has reconstructed 895 girls schools destroyed by militants in Fata during the worst years of insurgency. There were 2,248 girls schools in Fata of which 1,195 were affected by militancy and military operations in the tribal areas. Among these, 555 were completely destroyed and 491 were partially damaged, Ministry of States and Frontier Regions spokesman told Voice of America.
