Bahawalpur to get 50 motorcycle ambulances

Medical technicians have been recruited for motorcycle ambulance service after acquiring professional training

BAHAWALPUR: A motorcycle ambulance service will be launched in Bahawalpur in upcoming month of October to facilitate patients, especially those living in localities, having narrow streets.

Divisional Emergency Officer, Malik Asif Raheem Channar told media persons on Wednesday that the government would provide 50 motorcycle ambulances for Bahawalpur region.

"Punjab Emergency Service 1122 is going to launch motorcycle ambulance service in Bahawalpur from month of October," he said.

He said emergency medical technicians have been recruited for motorcycle ambulance service after acquiring professional training. He said that motorbike ambulance service would help bringing patients from localities having narrow streets.

Such ambulance service would also help bringing patients from areas which used to face traffic jam, he added.
