After banning swimming pools, Pervez Khattak wants one in CM House

This will cost Rs18.52m to K-P exchequer; ad appears in newspapers inviting tenders for the construction

PESHAWAR: Despite imposition of Section 144 by Peshawar District Administration on building swimming pools in the city to control dengue outbreak, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak is all set to build a  swimming pool at the CM House that would cost more than Rs18 million to the provincial exchequer.

The K-P Communication and Works Department has published an advertisement in newspapers inviting tenders for the construction of swimming pool in the Chief Minister House Peshawar.  The swimming pool will cost Rs18.52 million and the bids opening date is 26th of this month, as per the advertisement.





Alongside, the CM House is constructing new barracks, bunkers watch tower, security wall, barber shop and Dhobi Gath which are also included in the tenders invitation and its cost is Rs23.2 million.

The advertisement has simultaneously appeared in the time when the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led K-P government has imposed health emergency across the province to control dengue outbreak while the district administration Peshawar has imposed band on swimming pools in the city.
