Lawmakers hailing from the strife-torn areas on the north-west frontier have asked Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to continue with the PM’s relief package till 2014 and to extend relief measures to other volatile areas.
Lawmakers expressed deep concern over the non-implementation of the relief package and observed that the federal government had not taken any steps to provide concessions as promised.
Premier Gilani had unveiled a relief package for volatile areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) to the residents of terror-hit areas for 2010-2011.
