ITP impounds 1,500 vehicles for violating traffic rules
A total of 7,000 traffic violation tickets were issued to drivers

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) claimed to have impounded 1,500 vehicles during Eidul Azha for violating traffic rules. Moreover, a total of 7,000 traffic violation tickets were issued to drivers. According to details, ITP had constituted 20 squads to clamp down on one-wheeling during the three-day-long occasion. These squads were tasked with patrolling Margalla Road, Faizabad Express way, Murree Road, Rawal Dam Chowk and 7th Avenue. SSP Traffic Islamabad Malik Matloo on Monday reviewed the progress report prepared by the traffic police and expressed satisfaction over the performance. Matloo said that parents should play their role and stop children from indulging into harmful activities of one over-speeding and one-wheeling.
