ABBOTTABAD: As many as eight patients of dengue are receiving treatment at the Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), a hospital official said on Monday.

The media in charge of the ATH, while briefing the media, said that special Isolation wards have been set up where all dengue infected patients were being administered tests and provided with medicines free-of-cost.

He added that among those admitted to ATH include two from Haripur, two from Havelian, two from Abbottabad, one from Mansehra and one from Kohistan.

He confirmed that two patients who hailed from the Haripur district had died last week.

However, no record of patients afflicted by dengue was available from the District Headquarter Hospital Abbottabad, Regional Health centres from Havelian and basic health units from different areas of Abbottabad were available while patients who were treated in privately could not be traced.

Meanwhile, a special cell has been established in the complex to monitor the patients suffering from dengue.
