A recent thread made rounds on social media catching the attention of the Pakistani Twitterati, including the Foreign Office. The said tweets came from the account of a "Tehmina Janjua", also Pakistan's foreign secretary, and promised 10,000 Rohingya Muslims shelter in Pakistan.

The thread also pressed the general public to come forward and adopt at least one Rohingya Muslim since many were soon to be taken in...

The tweets garnered responses from users like 'Support Kashmir' who appreciated the move and called it a humane act.

Hours later, however, the foreign office came across the tweet and brushed it off with Nafees Zakaria posting a disclaimer saying Janjua did not maintain a Twitter account and, hence, all accounts in the Foreign Secretary's name should be considered fake.

He also stated that necessary action, against the fake account and the impersonator, will be taken.
