Victim received seven injuries on her body

LAHORE: Another case of torture of a minor domestic helper has emerged in the city.

Parents of a minor girl, Sadia, alleged in a complaint to police that their daughter was brutally tortured by her employees named Ahsan Butt and his wife Noor, residents of Shadman. The victim, Sadia aged 1o, was a resident of Faisalabad and was working in their house for the last one year at a salary of Rs4,000.

A day earlier, the suspects blamed her for committing theft and beat her with a belt. According to medical reports, the victim received seven injuries on her body. The police have registered an FIR against the suspects and arrested Ahsan.

Torture of minor domestic worker was not the first incident in the city. Last month, a teenage boy died in Akbari Butt when the daughter of MPA Shah Jahan tortured him
with a rod.

Asif | 7 years ago | Reply my uncle has 3 child servants. he beats them, his wifes beats them and their son beats them. The child servants have no place to sleep, they will be made to sleep in the stair well or any where outside the immediate living space of family. my uncle and their family justification is, we give them fppd and shelter on top whatever is paid to the servants parents. In their world viewthe kids would die has they continued to live where they came from. i jave seen thos all my life. i have tried to reason to asked them to be gentle. but the economics pf thos child slavery is such that it males no sense to hire adult servants. And if by chance one runs away they are able to find a new one very next day. interestingly yncles justification is backed by relegion bit i will not go their. Sad part is this not the only house on the street where this is happening. Severity may be different Imran Khan os wrong about Pakistan. Pakistan not crouppt not the way he thinks. Pakistan is socially and morally croupt and the desease is only increasing.

ishrat salim | 7 years ago | Reply @Sexton: This kind of abuse will continue unless examplaneray punishment is given to people who abuse maids & servants. They do not seem to have fear of Allah swt & exploits kids parents due to their poverty.
