Two sepoys martyred in South Waziristan

They were killed by an IED during a search operation near Angor Adda area of the agency

Two sepoys of Pakistan Army were martyred after an improvised explosive device went off during a search operation near the Angor Adda area of South Waziristan Agency.

According to the military’s media wing, the security forces were conducting a search operation –part of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad – when the IED exploded, killing Sepoy Attaur Rehman and Sepoy Imran Ali.

Separately, Punjab Rangers, along with counter terrorism department, police, and intelligence officials carried out intelligence-based operations (IBO) in Faisalabad and the suburbs of Islamabad.

During the operations, 14 suspects were apprehended by the security forces, according to Inter Service Public Relations.

Illegal weapons and ammunition of different calibres including automatic weapons were also recovered. The security forces also confiscated 200 cell phones which were buried underground.
