Imran Khan meets martyred major's family

Pays tribute to Major Ali Salman, who was martyred during an operation in Timergara, Dir on August 9

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan visited the family of the Major Ali Salman, who was martyred during an operation in Timergara, Dir on August 9.

Accompanied by party leader Jahangir Tareen, the PTI chief met with Major Salman's father and other family members at their residence in Lahore.

Khan paid tribute to Major Salman for the sacrifice he had rendered for the country and said the whole nation was proud of the martyred officer.

The PTI chief added that it was because of brave officers and jawans like Major Salman that peace had been restored in Pakistan.



Khan expressed his confidence in the capabilities of the Pakistan Army, noting that it was battling terrorism with great courage and valour.

Major Salman was leading an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in the Sherotkai area of Timergara on August 9  when a suicide bomber blew himself up during the raid. Salman and three other soldiers were martyred.
