Radd-ul-Fasaad: FC foils major terrorist attack in Balochistan
Several suspects rounded up; large quantity of weapons recovered
The Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC) has foiled a major terrorist attack while conducting intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in different parts of the province.
Over the last four days, the FC conducted IBOs in Summany, Kleri Dhal, Dera Bugti and Dasht areas, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During these operations several suspects were rounded up and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition including explosives, improvised explosive devices, grenades, rockets, detonators and communication equipment were found at the terrorists’ hideouts.

The police on Saturday launched a search operation in different areas of Quetta and arrested 24 suspected militant.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Abdul Razzak Cheema, the police searched 279 houses in different areas of Quetta, including Samungli Airbase, Killi Ismail, Khuratabad, Sabzal Road, Ghousabad, Pindrani road and Badal Khan Road.
“In the house-to-house search, 24 suspects were arrested for interrogation,” Cheema said, adding that the search operation would continue in view of the people’s security.
Meanwhile, the police also launched an operation against drug peddlers and addicts in the City Nallah area and arrested 117 heroin addicts and drug peddlers.
“All hideouts of the drug traffickers and addicts have been destroyed,” DIG Quetta said, adding that 117 drug addicts were shifted to rehabilitation centers.
