Transition : German deputy head of mission retires

German Consul-General Dr Christian Brecht held farewell reception for Consul and Deputy Head of Mission Dieter Freund.

KARACHI: German Consul-General Dr Christian Brecht held a farewell reception for Consul and Deputy Head of Mission Dieter Freund on Tuesday night.

Brecht said that the reception was to pay tribute to Freund, a seasoned diplomat who was retiring after having served Germany for 44 years.

Freund said his four years in Karachi had been wonderful and he wished the country and its people well.
