KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court (SHC) summoned on Thursday the investigation officer (IO) on bail applications of the suspects nominated in the Shikarpur imambaragh suicide blast case.
The IO will file a reply to the bail applications that were filed by the applicants. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have tracked down the suspected facilitators of the January 2015 suicide blast that killed at least 60 worshipers and others during Friday prayers.

The investigators said the suspects belonged to a proscribed outfit and were arrested following an encounter in the Manghopir locality. The prosecutor had alleged their involvement in the Shikarpur imambargah suicide bomb blast and various other cases of damaging railway tracks in the interior parts of Sindh.
The lawyer, who represented the suspects, argued that the anti-terrorism court had granted them bail in the case relating to an encounter with law enforcers. He told the judges that the suspects had approached the high court in another case related to alleged possession of explosives.
