Your Stars Today

Aries | March 20 – April 18

Thinking you’re right is one thing, knowing that you are is quite another, at least at the moment. With Mercury retrograde, and accenting certain practical matters and obligations, those seemingly insignificant issues could easily turn into time consuming problems. Tackle them now, while you can still deal with them easily.

Taurus | April 19 – May 19

If things are unsettled, it’s no surprise. Although the eclipsed New Moon was last Monday, the changes in both circumstances and your thinking that it triggered will be unfolding for days, and in some situations, weeks. The more prepared you are to consider these changes, the more you’re likely to benefit.

Gemini | May 20 – June 20

Not only is your ruler Mercury, the communication planet, retrograde it moves, still retrograde, into a new position on the 31st. This means that whatever you’re thinking or planning, or the situations you’re dealing with, they’re likely to change and change again. The solution? Regard all plans as a bit of an experiment.

Cancer | June 21 – July 21

Most Cancerians have a talent for listening to the complaints of others while discreetly sidestepping requests for help. You long ago learnt where you can do something and, even more, where you can’t. Still, one particular individual is both persistent and exceedingly manipulative, and will require a firm ‘no’.

Leo | July 22 – August 21

Long ago you learnt there’s little point in getting others to agree with you when, in truth, their views don’t matter. But now that they do, and to the extent their support could make a difference in the outcome of your plans, it’s worth listening to, and talking through, their concerns.

Virgo | August 22 – September 21

Making changes while in the midst of your ruler Mercury’s retrograde cycle may seem unwise. However, judging by the rest of August’s planetary activity, you really have no choice. The trick is to do the best you can, while ensuring that whatever you organise or commit to is, in some way, flexible.

Libra | September 22 – October 22

Your ability to charm almost anybody, including those who’re determined to be uncooperative, into being reasonable is a real asset. Yet, at the moment, the less you say, the better. Clear cut as certain matters seem, you’re unaware of vital issues. Wait and watch. Once you spot them, you’ll know what to do.

Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

When you make a plan, you think things through. This includes potential obstacles or, if others are involved, possible changes in their role. Still, you’d never have conceived of the twists and turns you’re facing. Forget about attempts to rein these in. Stand back and let events unfold as they must.

Sagittarius | November 22 – December 20

Being restless by nature, while you’re working on one plan or project, you’ll generally be on the lookout for another. While, most of the time, that’s understandable and wise, with Mercury retrograde until 5 September, you’ll find even organising simple things takes far more time than you expect or anticipate.

Capricorn | December 21 – January 18

While you’re accustomed to others forgetting they were meant to do or deal with something, and so aren’t that annoyed when you must pick up the pieces, you thought those closest were more reliable. The real problem is, unless they’re also Capricorn, their idea of dependability is very different from yours.

Aquarius | January 19 – February 17

Important as it is you talk through even minor issues, these discussions are more about exchanging ideas than reaching a single, lasting agreement. In fact, with Mercury retrograde, the odds are good certain facts will be incorrect or missing entirely. Knowing that, regard any arrangements as a trial run rather than anything final.

Pisces | February 18 – March 19

Although the eclipsed New Moon was on Monday, you’re still dealing with a range of surprising revelations and unexpected shifts in certain longstanding arrangements. Tempting as it is keep things as they were, explore your options. Some changes will fit in immediately but others are more complex, and will take longer.
