Baseball: Sri Lanka thrash Nepal

Sri Lanka defeated Nepal 20-0 in the second match of the inaugural South Asian Baseball Championship.

Sri Lanka defeated Nepal 20-0 in the second match of the inaugural South Asian Baseball Championship being held at the Punjab Stadium. After both teams failed to open the account in their first two innings, Sri Lankan batters scored four runs in the third outing.


In the fourth innings, Sri Lanka made it seven on the board while Nepal failed to get off the mark. With the difference between the number of runs scored by both the teams mounting, Sri Lanka added two more to their total through Rathnayake and Abcysooriya. In the sixth innings of the match, Sri Lanka batters scored 11 runs to put Nepal out of the game.
