A World Bank team is visiting Pakistan to assess opportunities and challenges facing the country’s information technology industry to better understand the policy levers that can help its growth.
In this context, the team will prepare a case study on IT firm NetSol.
The World Bank team is led by former finance minister and bank vice-president Shahid Javed Burki and includes senior economist for the South Asian region Eric D Manes and lead economist for Morocco and Algeria Jose R Lopez-Calix. CEO and chairman of NetSol, a leading IT software exporter, shared the company’s story with the team and thanked the World Bank delegation for choosing it to understand the challenges and opportunities facing Pakistan’s IT industry.
